Omega celebrates in Karachi with a grand Suhoor night!

From the moon to the deep sea, from adventurous escapades with James Bond to oozing glamor on the wrists of renowned international celebrities, from red carpets around the world to a Ramzan soiree in Karachi, Pakistan, the legacy of Omega Watches is one that is entrenched in luxury, star power and technical ingenuity.

And a dinner hosted by one of the world’s oldest, most venerated watch company was bound to draw in a select crowd of aficionados who understood the singular impact that a statement timepiece can make. The post-Iftar ‘suhoor’ dinner hosted this Ramzan by Omega Watches in Karachi was a luxurious, exclusive affair – much like the brand itself – held in partnership with Sonraj Group’s retail chain “Collectibles”.

Omega is renowned the world over for their collaborations with the Olympics, varied sports, moon exploration and media industry and has ongoing long time associations with stars like George Clooney, Daniel Craig, Cindy Crawford, Nicole Kidman. It is a positive sign that the brand also believes in Pakistani stars and has been involved in numerous PR activites with our sportsmen and celebrities.

This year’s Suhoor was held at the Sakura Restaurant and a guest list that ranged from top-tier celebrities to fashion icons and business magnates filed in. The attendance was a dazzling mix; models, young TV heroes and heroines, established acting veterans. Power players in the business of watchmaking broke bread with film and TV directors and producers. Journalists intermingled with fashion stylists. Elegant floral arrangements and a delectable array of Japanese food was the order of the day.

But what does a dinner hosted by an international titan such as Omega signify? Speaking with reference to the event, the Collectibles CEO said, “Omega has had a long history with the region so much so that before partition the brand was present in Quetta, which is now the capital of Pakistan’s largest province and one of the country’s important cities. Over the years, the brand has aligned itself with iconic Pakistani names and been part of a range of prestigious collaborations. We hope that this event is the first of many, exemplifying Omega’s consistent relations with the country and the Pakistani clientele committed to the brand because of its excellence.”

International Model Hasnain Lehri who recently made his screen debut in the Netflix hit reality show Dubai Bling, who is also the brand ambassador and creative head at Collectibles, said “Omega is, of course, a world-renowned, highly coveted watch brand. Collectibles in Pakistan is one of the select official retailers where Omega’s latest watch offerings are available, such as the Speedmaster Dark Side of The Moon collection which pays homage to the first ever Speedmasters used on the Apollo Space Missions.”

Hasnain, who has a passion for watches, further added, “I have always had a personal interest in adding creative elements to the projects that I work in, whether they are fashion shoots, product launches or in this case, envisioning timepieces as works of art and presenting them in new ways for Collectibles”.

Beautifully shot and featuring state-of-the-art watches, Omega’s distinctive shoots and events in Pakistan have always upped the ante. The brand’s persistent presence in the market is also indicative of the fact that the Pakistani watch connoisseur remains committed to investing into Omega, one of the oldest, most respected, most powerful names in the business of watchmaking.
