History of Omega

Omega is a renowned Swiss luxury watch brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1848. Recognised for its exceptional craftsmanship and precision, Omega has established itself as a leader in the horology industry.

In 1969, during the historic Apollo 11 mission, Omega's Speedmaster Professional chronograph became the first watch worn on the moon. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin had his Omega Speedmaster strapped to his spacesuit as he descended onto the moon's surface. This moment solidified Omega's reputation as the "Moonwatch" and forever linked the brand with space exploration.
